I know, I know another Vogue shoot I hear you cry! You know I can’t resist Vogue magazine, but it’s been a while since I came across a shoot that really caught my eye (Marie Antoinette and Anna Karenina sure did though). Until I came across this one that is. Featured in November 2005’s edition of Vogue magazine and shot by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, the lovely Reese Witherspoon and (the amazing looking) Joaquin Phoenix get into character as Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash in this Walk the Line inspired shoot. The movie was just about to be released and Reese wasn’t long away from nabbing her Oscar. I love the film, I love the music (their versions of the iconic songs are amazing), I love these two and I love this shoot. The shots are really so beautiful; amazing fashion, backdrops and lighting used. When I die, I want to come back as Reese in this moment in time!

Beautiful! The costumes in the movie were incredible and that shoot is fabulous!! I absolutely adore Annie Liebovitz, went to her American Music exhibit in 2003/2004 and was completely blown away! Goot choice for such a rainy day!
I agree Tara, the costumes in the film (and on this shoot) were stunning! I’d have given anything to see Annie’s exibition, I’d say it was incredible; she’s an amazing photographer.
These pictures are so beautiful. Also that vanity is amazing, I want it.
I’d love that as well Amanda, it is beautiful. The pictures are stunning, I couldn’t resist putting them up when I found them!
