Keira Knightley Takes On Anna Karenina In Vogue Magazine

Keira Knightley on the October 2012 Vogue cover

Today’s post comes after I stumbled across this photo shoot by accident last month. Originally published in Vogue magazine October 2012 to promote the release of Joe Wright‘s epic Anna Karenina, the gorgeous, ethereal shoot sees Keira Knightly take on her Anna persona once more, this time in the name of fashion. This is a truly stunning shoot, (with Grace Coddington once again the creative force behind it) and the renowned Mario Testino behind the camera. The majority of the incredible gowns are haute couture, and as is usual with a Vogue spread, each picture really speaks for itself.

Swan Song: The finale coat and dress of the Chanel Haute Couture show—titled New Vintage for its homages to Mlle’s classics—in the Grand Palais’s Salon d’Honneur was a sweeping silk tulle–and–organza confection with nearly 5,000 feathers. Photographed by Mario Testino, Vogue, October 2012

I want this stunning red Dior Haute Couture coat and second head piece, pictured below.

Love the deep blue colour used in the gown below:

No Place Like Rome: Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino Haute Couture sent out a series of midnight-blue dresses impeccable in their simplicity. Here, a silk brocade embroidered with a William Morris Tree of Life–inspired motif that showcased the prodigious talents of the house’s fabled atelier.  Pictured below is my favourite of the gowns:

Finally, some amazing gowns Keira wears in the film itself:
